The Chairman of ACFE- Bulgaria Vladimir Ikonomov, CFE and the Rector of University of National and World Economy Prof. D.Sc(Econ.) Statty Stattev signed a memorandum for cooperation.
The signing of the bilateral agreement for cooperation took place on 16.11.2016 at the premises of WNWE at a meeting of the Rector’s Council. Attendees were deputy rector of research – Prof.Valentin Goev, assistant rector Nikolai Bakardjiev, chairman of the student council – Denis Dimitrov. Special participation had Prof. Snezhana Basheva(dean of Finance and Accountancy), Prof. Valentin Kisimov (department Information technologies and communication) and senior assistant Atanaska Philipova (coordinator of bilateral relations). ACFE- Bulgaria was represented by Gergana Stancheva – associate member and secretary and Todor Novakov, CFE –director of training.
With this memorandum for cooperation ACFE-Bulgaria and University of National and World Economy agreed to establish a working relationship and foster cooperation for joint activities in the
implementation of projects relating to detecting and preventing fraud, organizing and carrying out joint activities for exchange of knowledge and best practices of mutual interest.
University of National and World Economy is the largest and oldest university in Bulgaria and Southeastern Europe with 96 years of history. On 27.04.1990 the Academic Council decided to change the name from Karl Marx to University of National and World Economy. Currently the university has 8 faculties and 33 departments. Teachers are nearly 500, of which 300 – professors and associate professors. UNWE is the largest Bulgarian university with 21,432 students.
